Flake System
Combines the strength of epoxy or polyaspartic resins with decorative vinyl flake media to create a seamless, slip-resistant surface.
What it is
Combines the strength of epoxy or polyaspartic resins with decorative vinyl flake media to create a seamless, slip-resistant surface. Maintenance: regular cleaning with neutral pH cleaners is recommended. Resinous floor coating systems are nonporous, causing dirt and contaminants to remain on the surface.
How it's built
- 01
Surface preparation
Mechanical profile of the substrate; crack repair where required.
- 02
Primer / basecoat
Epoxy or polyaspartic basecoat applied to a prepared substrate.
- 03
Flake broadcast to rejection
Vinyl flake media broadcast in 1/4" or 1/8" gauge across the wet basecoat.
- 04
Topcoat
Polyaspartic or polyurethane topcoat for chemical, UV, and abrasion resistance.
Why teams use it
